There are some puppies that simply make you feel at home the moment you meet them. Evander is one of those puppies.
His name means “strong man” or “brave warrior,” and it couldn’t fit him better. Evander carries a quiet confidence that isn’t loud or demanding. He is steady, dependable, and incredibly secure in who he is. He doesn’t hesitate to walk up to new people because, in his mind, everyone is simply a friend he hasn’t met yet.
While some puppies wait to be invited into the moment, Evander naturally steps into it with confidence and kindness. His first instinct is connection. Whether it’s greeting visitors, checking in with his people, or happily following wherever the family goes, he genuinely wants to be involved.
He reminds us so much of his father, Cowboy. Evander has inherited that classic Bernese temperament that so many families spend years searching for: loyal, gentle, emotionally steady, and deeply devoted to his people. He has a calming presence that makes you slow down and simply enjoy being with him.
From his mother, Ghost, he inherited something equally special: a heart that genuinely wants to please. He watches people carefully, learns quickly, and naturally looks for guidance.
