Sometimes I realize not everyone who follows along knows that alongside our Bernedoodles, we also still have a deep love for these tiny little companions too. Maltipoos tend to speak straight to the hearts of people who love a baby that stays under 15 pounds — those who want that little shadow beside them, the one easy to scoop up, carry along, and tuck right into your lap wherever life takes you. 🥹✨
For families drawn to our toy Bernedoodles, these babies can be such a lovely option as well. They carry that same sweet companion feel, but in an even lighter frame, making them incredibly easy to travel with, cuddle, and keep close. Their structure is delicate, their size is manageable, and their purpose has always been something beautiful — because the Maltese breed itself was developed specifically for companionship. A true lap dog at heart, bred simply to love and be near its people.
Over the years, working carefully within this cross has given us such a special insight into the breed — especially as we have worked toward beautiful colors and patterns people often love in our Bernedoodles, while still preserving that soft, devoted Maltipoo nature. It has reminded me so much of raising Maltipoos with my parents years ago, and there is something deeply sentimental about that for me. My mother still plays such a big part in helping us find the families these little angels are meant for, and I love that this part of our journey still carries pieces of where we began. 🐾✨
